corner view - september - stockholm

September. Evenings getting chilly and dark. Fumbling around in the kitchen cupboards looking for the candle holders. Towards the end of September maybe light a fire in the tile stove. Eating a lot of blueberries and mushrooms. Drinking tea and red wine. And walking around the garden in the mornings before work enjoying the blooming roses covered in dew and soft September light.

Please visit Spain Daily for the links to all the other corner views.

paris apartment

I think this is the home of a Marie Claire Maison reader but I am only guessing since the French I may have learned in school is long gone. Anyway I like these photos and this small apartment (24m2)very much.

friday

Growing tomatoes can be quite exciting. They don't always look as expected.
And friday how I love you. Wish you all the best of weekends.

Also, I am really looking forward for next week's Corner View.

bedspread

Oh, how I love this blanket/bedspread sewn and shooted by designer and blogger hujour who I so happily discovered via grijs.
The fabric used is lovely Nyytit by Hennamari Asunta for Marimekko.

mix

Empty of course but to me the colors, the ceiling stucco work and the door of course with its grand decoration are very inspiring.

weekend

I've had the greatest september weekend. Soft light and warm evenings. I love this month. We've celebrated a birthday, been to riding school, cooked a lot of really tasty food, bought the kids some new clothes and I tried ethiopian food for the first time. It was delicious. Hope your weekend was great too.

kähler

Beautiful, bubbly autumn news from Kähler.
Triplo and Bozza by Soren Thyglesen.

wednesday

Yellow chanterelles, picked by my father in law and tomatoes and basil from the garden. Not our usual wednesday dinner exactly. Precious and delicious. The kids weren't to impressed though and I didn't take a picture of their ready-made meatballs.

birds

Some time ago I drew a lot of birds. I can't remember why I stopped. I found these birds by Rob Clarke at Elphick's. They are beautiful and seem so effortless.
